REYKJAVIK, Iceland, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- British Prince Harry and actor Dominic West trekked by skis on Iceland's Langjokull Glacier for a South Pole training expedition, The Mirror said Monday.

The pair dragged heavy sleds loaded with supplies as they prepared to compete against each other this winter in a 208-mile Antarctic slog in -45C.

Harry, 28, will lead Glenfiddich, a group of injured servicemen for the Walking with the Wounded charity challenge, while West, 43, will join a team of Commonwealth troops and a third crew will be made up of U.S. servicemen, the newspaper said.

The exact date of the race was not reported.
