Angus T. Jones cut from 'Two and a Half Men' opening sequence

LOS ANGELES, July 20 (UPI) -- Producers of "Two and a Half Men" have cut actor Angus T. Jones from the opening credits of the sitcom, TVLine.com reported.

Co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer will be featured in the new opening sequence, perhaps with an as-yet unnamed co-star, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Jones, 19, will appear only occasional on the show this season, since the actor is heading off to college.

Jones, who plays Jake Harper on the show, trashed the sitcom as "filth" in November, saying "I don't want to be on it," but then apologized.

"I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed," he said in a statement.

There were reports this week producers have added a new character, the lesbian daughter of Charlie Harper, played by Charlie Sheen until he was fired from the show two seasons ago.
