Fox announces lineup for Regis Philbin's sports talk show

NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- Fox Sports 1 has announced the rest of the team for Regis Philbin's new talk show, which premieres in August.

"Crowd Goes Wild" will air for the first time Aug. 17, a week before Philbin turns 82, the network said.

The cast includes Jason Gay, a longtime sports columnist for The Wall Street Journal; Michael Kosta, who has turned from pro tennis to comedy; Trevor Pryce, whose 14 years as a defensive end in the NFL included two Super Bowl championships and four Pro Bowls; and Sky Sports host Georgie Thompson. of Guyism.com and Youtube fame, will be the social media correspondent.

"There are sports news shows, debate shows and shows that present a single point-of-view, but 'Crowd Goes Wild' is aiming for a fresh approach," executive producer Michael Davies said.

Philbin has spent decades in television, most notably on "Live! with Regis and Kelly" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire."
