MACON, Ga., July 14 (UPI) -- Alana Thompson, the 7-year-old TLC star, and her mother, said they visited Macon, Ga. to promote the second season of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and a new book.
The season premieres July 17 on TLC at 9 p.m., and the book is titled "How to Honey Boo Boo."

Alana's mother, June Shannon, said most of the season will be filmed in Macon, Warner Robins and Perry, WMAZ-TV, Macon, reported.
Shannon said she wanted to stay close to home and family, but that the second season will bring more exposure to central Georgia.
Shannon also said she doesn't consider herself a celebrity.
"To me, I'm just June. (I'm) what I was two years ago, six months ago, even a month ago. That's what I want to be," she said.
