The Duck Dynasty is getting one brother bigger.

Alan Robertson, the eldest son of duck caller king Phil Robertson, will leave behind his current gig as a Louisiana pastor and join his family on the A&E reality series.

Although, unlike his dad, uncle and brothers, Alan Robertson lacks the trademark family facial hair, he says he does let the beard grow during hunting season.

"The beards are so iconic," he said. "All this time I've been flying under the radar; I can go to Starbucks and get Mama coffee. That's about to change."

And while he's hanging up his clerical frock in exchange for hunting camo, Robertson said he's not leaving behind his beliefs.

“What I do for our church -- you see, it’s a pretty good-sized church -- impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people,” he said. “Any person that’s an evangelist, that’s what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger.”

Robertson's wife of 29 years, Lisa, is a little hesitant to step into the spotlight, especially because they're coming brand new to reality television while the rest of the family is used to having cameras around.

“I’m just worried about coming in and not being able to perform on the spot,” she said. “Everyone else has three years of experience filming.”

And their two daughters, Anna and Alex, will soon make their own debuts on the show. Anna already works for the family business, while Alex and her husband Vinny say they plan to open up a food truck and park it in front of the Duck Commander store.

"Duck Dynasty" returns for its fourth season August 14.
