NEW YORK, June 24 (UPI) -- Embattled celebrity chef and television personality Paula Deen says she will appear on the "Today" show in New York Wednesday.

Deen, 66, was scheduled to be interviewed last Friday about the media firestorm ignited by her recent admission she regularly used the N-word in the past, but she canceled her appearance at the last minute.

Later in the day, she posted two videos online apologizing for her behavior but was still fired from the Food Network.

She confirmed via Twitter Monday she will definitely show up for Wednesday's edition of "Today."

"See you Wednesday, I am so glad Matt, Al and my friends at @TodayShow are bringing me back," Deen tweeted Monday morning, referring to the show's hosts Matt Lauer and Al Roker.

"She has told us she will be here this time," Lauer tweeted.
