NEW YORK, June 3 (UPI) -- Troubled actress Amanda Bynes has been evicted from her New York apartment, In Touch magazine reported.

The 27-year-old former star of "The Amanda Show" and "What I Like About You" was notified she is no longer welcome as a tenant in the midtown Manhattan building and movers took her belongings from the rented apartment Tuesday.

Although her eviction came after she was arrested May 27 for allegedly throwing a bong out of her 36th-floor window and smoking marijuana in her building lobby, her neighbors viewed her as a nuisance and had been trying for weeks to get her kicked out, the magazine said.

In Touch did not say where she is staying now.

The "What a Girl Wants" and "Hairspray" actress was last seen on the big screen in 2010's "Easy A." Her once-bright career has been eclipsed in recent months by reports of erratic behavior, legal woes, bizarre online rants and motor vehicle offenses.
