Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas to host Miss USA pageant

LAS VEGAS, May 21 (UPI) -- Giuliana Rancic and Nick Jonas are to serve as co-hosts of next month's 62nd annual Miss USA competition in Las Vegas, organizers said.

The announcement was made Tuesday by NBC, Donald J. Trump and Paula M. Shugart, president of The Miss Universe Organization.

The pageant is to take place June 16 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

"We are excited to announce a veteran and a newcomer as hosts for this year's Miss USA competition," Shugart said in a statement. "The diverse backgrounds of Rancic and Jonas in the entertainment industry will bring a new and exciting energy to the stage."
