TBS orders 'Ground Floor,' sitcom starring John C. McGinley

ATLANTA, May 13 (UPI) -- TBS says it has ordered 10 episodes of "Ground Floor," a new U.S. workplace comedy starring Skylar Astin, Briga Heelan and John C. McGinley.

The series is to premiere on the cable television network in 2014.

"'Ground Floor' is a smart and extremely funny comedy that blends workplace humor with relatable romantic entanglements," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement last Friday. "It's all brought together by a wonderful ensemble. With 'Ground Floor,' we're thrilled to be extending our creative partnership with 'Cougar Town's' [writer] Bill Lawrence."
