Seacrest to produce Spanish-language singing show

LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- Television personality Ryan Seacrest's production company has sold 13 2-hour episodes of a Spanish-language singing competition to Telemundo, officials said.

The show, called "Duelo Musical: Super Estrella," or "SuperStar Showdown," features competitors going head-to-head in singing challenges, as well as mystery acts and big musical performances, The Hollywood Reporter said Sunday.

"Latin America has always produced incredible musicians who have influenced global pop culture. Because of this, [Ryan Seacrest Productions] has been focused on developing programming to reach the Hispanic audience for some time," Seacrest

RSP also produces Bravo's "Shahs of Sunset," E!'s "Married to Jonas," and the long-running Kardashian franchise.
