Lazaro Arbos dropped from 'American Idol'; 5 female contestants left

LOS ANGELES, April 11 (UPI) -- Cuban-born Lazaro Arbos was eliminated from the singing competition series "American Idol" in Los Angeles Thursday night.

Arbos, a 22-year-old ice-cream shop worker from Florida who stutters when he speaks but not when he sings, was the last male contestant on Season 12 of the show.

He played "Feelin' Good" after he was told he would go no further on "Idol."

Angie Miller, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur and Candice Glover remain in the competition.

Ryan Seacrest is host of the show. Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj are the judges.
