Egyptian TV's Yosri Fouda fractures neck in car crash

CAIRO, March 25 (UPI) -- Egyptian journalist and talk-show host Yosri Fouda was hospitalized in Cairo after suffering a fractured neck in a car accident, Ahram Online reported Monday.

Ahram Online said a tire on Fouda's car blew out and the car flipped over. While it was a serious accident, Fouda was aware and speaking, the Egyptian newspaper's website said.

It was unclear whether Fouda was driving at the time of Sunday's accident or if any other vehicles were involved.

Fouda is a former reporter for the BBC and al-Jazeera. He is now host of "Akher Kalam," one of Egypt's most popular talk shows, Ahram Online said. He also is the co-author of "Masterminds of Terror: The Truth Behind the Most Devastating Terrorist Attack the World Has Ever Seen."
