SAN DIEGO, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Famed screen cowboy Dale Robertson has died of lung cancer and pneumonia in a San Diego hospital, his family said. He was 89.
The Oklahoma native was a World War II veteran and member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame. Best known for his work on TV's "Tales of Wells Fargo" in the late 1950s, he also appeared on the shows "Dynasty," "Dallas," "Harts of the West," "Death Valley Days," "Iron Horse" and "J.J. Starbuck," The Hollywood Reporter said.
