'Argo' wins American Cinema Editors' award

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- The editors of "Argo" and "Silver Linings Playbook" received top awards at the American Cinema Editors' 63rd annual ACE Eddie Awards Saturday in Beverly Hills.

The Hollywood Reporter said "Argo" won for best edited dramatic feature film, while "Silver Linings Playbook" won for best comedy/musical.

"Argo" has already won awards at four other award ceremonies, The Reporter said.

The editor of "Argo," William Goldberg, was a double nominee Saturday at the Beverly Hilton, as he also edited "Zero Dark Thirty," The Reporter said.

"Brave" also won for best edited animated feature, and "Searching for Sugar Man" won the documentary feature category, The Reporter said.

"Hemingway & Gelhorn" won in the best edited miniseries or motion picture for television category, The Reporter said.

Steven Spielberg received the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, The Reporter said, and Editors Richard Marks and Larry Silk received Lifetime Achievement Awards.
