BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Actor-producer Mark Wahlberg and his teddy bear co-star from "Ted" are to be presenters at this month's Oscars show in Los Angeles, telecast producers said.

"We are happy to make it possible for Mark and Ted to make their debut appearance on the Oscar stage," Zadan and Meron said in a statement. "And we won't deny that Ted used his pull with our host to get himself the booking."

Wahlberg and Ted's summer comedy is the highest-grossing, R-rated original comedy of all time. It was directed and written by Seth MacFarlane, the host of this year's Oscar ceremony. MacFarlane also provides the voice of Ted.

Singers Adele, Norah Jones and Barbra Streisand are to perform at the Oscars show, which will honor outstanding film achievements of 2012. The ceremony is to take place Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center and will air live on ABC.
