'Avengers,' 'Hunger,' 'Dark Knight' earn People's Choice nods

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- "The Amazing Spider-Man," "The Avengers" and "The Dark Knight Rises" were nominated for the Favorite Movie People's Choice Award in Los Angeles Thursday.

The films will compete in the top movie category with "The Hunger Games" and "Snow White and the Huntsman."

Nominated for Favorite Movie Actor are Channing Tatum, Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Robert Downey Jr. and Will Smith.

In the running for Favorite Movie Actress are Anne Hathaway, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson.

The nominees for Favorite Movie Icon are Emma Thompson, Maggie Smith, Meryl Streep, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon.

Shortlisted for Favorite Network TV Comedy are "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee," "How I Met Your Mother," "Modern Family" and "New Girl."

Up for Favorite Network TV Drama are "Gossip Girl," "Grey's Anatomy," "Grimm," "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge."

Competing for Favorite Cable TV Comedy are "Awkward," "Hot in Cleveland," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Melissa & Joey" and "Psych."

Nominated for Favorite Cable TV Drama are "Burn Notice," "Leverage," "Pretty Little Liars," "The Walking Dead" and "White Collar."

Mentioned for Favorite Premium Cable Show are "Dexter," "Game of Thrones," "Homeland," "Spartacus" and "True Blood."

The nominees for Favorite Comedic TV actor are Chris Colfer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jim Parsons, Neil Patrick Harris and Ty Burrell.

Nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actress are Jane Lynch, Kaley Cuoco, Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara and Zooey Deschanel.

Shortlisted for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor are Ian Somerhalder, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles,

Nathan Fillion and Paul Wesley.

Up for Favorite Dramatic Actress are Ellen Pompeo, Emily Deschanel, Ginnifer Goodwin, Nina Dobrev and Stana Katic.

Competing for Favorite Male Artist are Blake Shelton, Chris Brown, Jason Mraz, Justin Bieber and Usher.

Nominated for Favorite Female Artist are Adele, Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, P!nk and Taylor Swift.

Included in the Favorite Song category are "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, "One More Night" by Maroon 5, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift, "We Are Young," Fun. featuring Janelle Monae and "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction.

Winners of the fan-voted awards are to be announced during a ceremony to air on CBS Jan. 9. Cuoco is to serve as host of the event.
