HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan's co-star in the TV movie "Liz and Dick" says the troubled actress was a perfect fit to play Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor.

Grant Bowler, who plays Richard Burton in the Lifetime movie, told People magazine Lohan was "pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated."

Bowler said Lohan seemed to leave her sometimes-erratic personal life off the set during shooting and was "excellent to work with."

Along with the physical resemblance, Lohan also shared some similar experiences with Taylor, a onetime child actress whose sometimes stormy relationship with Burton routinely made headlines, she told People.

"I relate to her on a lot of levels," Lohan said. "Living in the public eye and dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it's true or not."

Taylor won two Oscars in her career and appeared in 11 films with Burton. She died in March 2011 at age 79.
