PRINCE HARRY: A Chippendales spokesman told United Press International he doubted Britain's Prince Harry would be a guest host with the Las Vegas male erotic dance troupe.

The company, which performs at Las Vegas' Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, reached out to people connected with Harry Thursday to let them know of its interest, Michael Caprio told UPI.

The group, known for its dancers' distinctive upper-body costume of a bowtie and shirt cuffs worn on an otherwise bare torso, "went through a contact to get a PR contact with the royal family," Caprio said.

"We don't know if it's direct access to him," Caprio said. "Our hopes are high," he said.

When asked by UPI if Chippendales' hopes were really high, he stressed the word "our" in repeating "our hopes are high," then added, "I doubt it's going to happen."

U.S. gossip Web site TMZ initially reported the company's Las Vegas troupe reached out to the royalty "to gauge his interest in being our next guest host."

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT: U.S.-Canadian singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright has married German theater producer Jorn Weisbrodt in a ceremony in front of 250, the New York Post reports.

Wainwright -- son of folk singers Loudon Wainwright III and the late Kate McGarrigle -- exchanged vows Thursday at Wainwright's home in Montauk, N.Y., on the South Shore of Long Island.

Guests included artist-author and John Lennon widow Yoko Ono, actress Carrie Fisher, guitarist-vocalist Lou Reed, British-American actress Julianne Moore, performance artist Laurie Anderson, musician Mark Ronson, jewelry designer Ann Dexter-Jones, artist Cindy Sherman and writer-editor Ingrid Sischy, the Post said.

The party then moved to the roadside "shorts and sunglasses required" Clam Bar in Napeague, west of Montauk, where each guest received a jar of local plum jam inscribed with "Rufus+Jorn's Hochzeit."

"Hochzeit" means "wedding" in German.

They also ate local steamers and cherry tomatoes, lobster rolls and clam chowder, the Post said.

KATIE HOMES: U.S. actress Katie Homes' divorce agreement with actor Tom Cruise includes $400,000 in annual child support, the gossip Web site TMZ reports.

The actress, who was a regular on the former teen drama series "Dawson's Creek" and appeared in the "Batman Begins" superhero film, gets no alimony, the Web site said.

The $400,000 in child support for 6-year-old daughter Suri comes out to $33,333.33 a month.

The money will be paid by electronic transfer, the site said.

Cruise must pay the support until Suri turns 18, which comes out to $4.8 million.

Cruise must also pay Suri's expenses, including medical, dental, insurance, private-school and college tuition and extracurricular costs, the site said.

Suri is to attend New York City's all-girls Convent of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic school starting next month. She was previously home-schooled.

TMZ called the child support payments "modest," calling them "nothing" compared to Cruise's $250 million fortune.

Holmes, 33, filed for divorce from Cruise, 50, in June after five years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."

The divorce settlement, announced July 9, was finalized by a New York state Supreme Court judge Monday.

RANDY TRAVIS: U.S. country gospel music singer Randy Travis was not drunk when he was cited for assault after having a minor altercation with a man in Texas, police told UPI.

"The assault was very minor," Plano, Texas, officer David Tilley told United Press International Friday afternoon.

"He was issued a ticket for the Class C assault, which is the lowest penalty anyone can be charged with here in Texas," Tilley said.

The gossip Web site TMZ earlier reported Travis was involved in a drunken fight with a man in a Plano church parking lot.

"I don't know who their source is. I don't care who their source is. I'm going to go based on the official police report," Tilley told UPI.

"There were no reported injuries" in the incident, he said. "Transport to the hospital was refused."

Travis was issued the citation and released.

"There is nothing in the official police report to indicate anyone at the incident was intoxicated," Tilley told UPI.

TMZ quoted an unidentified law-enforcement source as saying Travis appeared to be "extremely intoxicated."

Travis, 53, has sold more than 25 million records and has won six Grammy Awards, six Country Music Association awards and nine Academy of Country Music awards.
