NEW YORK, April 28 (UPI) -- MTV is looking to Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's pregnancy on "Snooki & JWoww" to increase the network's declining ratings, which are off by 19 percent in 2012.

The Viacom-owned network teased the June 21 premiere of the "Jersey Shore" spinoff Tuesday at a presentation to advertisers in New York City. The reality show will give viewers an inside look at Polizzi's first trimester of pregnancy, Ad Age reported Thursday.

While "Jersey Shore" remains the top show on cable, the reality series slowly lost ratings during its fifth and most recent season. Cast member Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio's spinoff, "The Pauly D Project," has had similarly lower-than-expected ratings, garnering 1.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, the advertising publication reported.

MTV unveiled six new shows Thursday, including "Catfish," based on the 2010 documentary of the same name, "Underemployed," "Inbetweeners," "Wake Brothers," "Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous" and "Teen Wolf: The Hunt." Scripted series "Awkward" and "Teen Wolf" are scheduled to return.
