MOSCOW, April 13 (UPI) -- WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is to serve as host of a 10-part political discussion program on Russia Today, the show's producers said.

"The program 'The World Tomorrow' will be simultaneously broadcast on three RT channels, in English, Arab and Spanish languages," the network said in a statement Friday.

RIA Novosti said the half-hour show is to debut Tuesday and will be taped in London. Assange, an Australian, has already spent more than a year under house arrest in the British city while he battles an extradition request from Sweden where he is accused of sexually abusing two women. He has denied any wrongdoing.

"First of all, being under house arrest for so long, it's nice to have an occasional visitor and to learn more about the world. And given that the conversations we were having are quite interesting, why not film them and show other people what was going on," RIA Novosti quoted Assange as saying of his television venture.
