BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Actress Kendra Wilkinson says spending Christmas at home with her family in Southern California will be something new this year.

The star of E!'s "Girls Next Door" told People magazine in Beverly Hills she and husband Hank Baskett will be fussing over 2-year-old son, Hank IV, in their own home for the first time.

"We haven't had our own house before, so this will be the first time we get to spend the holiday season as a family in our brand new home," Wilkinson, 26, said. "That's the best thing ever."

Wilkinson said previous holidays were more spontaneous.

"Before I was being a little selfish," she said. "I was saying, 'Forget Christmas -- let's go to Hawaii.'

"But then I woke up and I realized that this is going to be baby Hank's first year to really know what's going on," she added. "It's not really about me anymore -- it's about him now."
