Good ratings for return of 'Beavis'

HOLLYWOOD, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- The 21st century version of "Beavis and Butt-head" paid off for MTV to the tune of 3.3 million U.S. viewers, the latest ratings show.

The cartoon slackers that provided guilty pleasures to a generation of fans in the 1990s returned this week to double MTV's audience of male viewers between the ages of 12 and 34.

USA Today said the numbers showed only "Jersey Shore" did better with the coveted demographic.
