Steve Harvey show to air on NBC stations in 2012

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution said Thursday it has sold the new talk show, "Steve Harvey," to NBC-owned stations for a fall 2012 premiere.

The announcement regarding the hourlong weekday program was made Thursday by Barry Wallach, president of NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.

"Steve Harvey is a phenomenal broadcaster who will deliver his unique comedic approach to daytime talk," Wallach said in a statement. "Steve appeals to a wide cross-section of daytime viewers making him a great fit for the daypart. We are looking forward to working with Steve and the team at Endemol USA to bring this new talk show to local TV stations."

"We are thrilled to partner with Steve Harvey and NBCUniversal to produce a comedic and inspiring new daytime talk show," added David Goldberg, chairman of Endemol North America. "Steve is a huge talent who brings a unique voice and perspective to all audiences."
