Charlie Sheen takes his roast with a smile

CULVER CITY, Calif., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Jeffrey Ross, William Shatner and Patrice O'Neal participated in the Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen, cracking drug and warlock jokes in California.

The roasters noted how impressed they were by Sheen's willingness to take the jabs at him Saturday night at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif., The Hollywood Reporter said.

"He was laughing so hard at one point when i was up there that cocaine came out of his nose," Ross joked at the after party, which had goddesses serving jello shots and bars offering "nectar from the Gods."

Everything from the self-proclaimed "warlock's" drug use to the goddesses in his life seemed to be fair game to roasters.

The night ended with Sheen performing a stand-up bit.

"It was weird," added O'Neal, "It wasn't like he was an amateur up there. He was really good."

The show is set to air on Sept. 21 on Comedy Central.

"Until tonight I never realized how (expletive) up I was," Sheen said to the crowd. "Maybe I should have listened to those 60 doctors, three ex-wives and two paramedics."
