LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- The current second season of "Lopez Tonight" will be the Los Angeles chat show's last, TBS announced Wednesday.

The Hollywood Reporter said the final episode of comedian George Lopez's series is to air Thursday.

The show's time slot was changed from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. this past season to accommodate Conan O'Brien's new 11 p.m. show "Conan."

TMZ said low ratings for its lead-in "Conan" contributed to a drop in viewership for "Lopez Tonight" and ultimately led to the cable network's decision not to renew "Lopez Tonight" for a third season.
