LOS ANGELES, July 22 (UPI) -- A television producer says he offered Casey Anthony $1 million for an exclusive interview at a meeting with her in a California hotel.

Another producer, Jake Schalmo off Schalmo Productions in Ohio, told an Orlando, Fla., TV station he offered Anthony $5 million.

Al Taylor, speaking Wednesday by telephone to HLN host Dr. Drew Pinsky, said Anthony agreed to his $1 million deal during a 15-minute face-to-face meeting in Palm Springs, the Los Angeles Times reported. He said he did not have any photographic evidence because he was ordered not to bring a camera or cellphone.

"I got a call early Tuesday morning, from a representative that said if you want to meet with her, be in this certain area in 15 minutes," Taylor said. "I was game. I showed up. I wasn't for sure if I was going to meet her, and sure enough, she was there."

Anthony was acquitted earlier this month in Florida of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. She was convicted of lying to police.

Taylor said he warned her she has a limited time to make money: "The one thing I explained to her was, 'Remember, fame is fleeting, but infamy is even more fleeting,' and I said, 'Look, in six weeks you'll be worth $100,000, not a million dollars.' I was trying to explain that we've got to do it now."
