BURBANK, Calif., July 11 (UPI) -- Teen pop star Demi Lovato is to premiere the video for her song "Skyscraper" this week on E! News, her label Hollywood Records said Monday.
The clip is to be shown for the first time Wednesday on E! News and E! Online. Accompanying it will be an exclusive interview Lovato gave to E! host Ryan Seacrest.
The video will get its VEVO premiere Thursday.
"Produced by Toby Gad, the emotionally resonant 'Skyscraper' illustrates Lovato's personal journey of overcoming challenges by staying strong and believing in herself," Hollywood Records said in press materials announcing the premiere. "The long-awaited release follows an important year for Demi Lovato. After confronting personal issues head on, Lovato made the proactive decision to seek treatment and regain focus on her music career. Additionally, Lovato is currently partnering with the JED Foundation and Seventeen magazine on the 'Love is Louder Than the Pressure to Be Perfect' campaign, addressing the various pressures many young people face."
Lovato, 18, announced last year she was taking some time off from her busy acting and music careers to seek treatment for unspecified emotional and physical issues. She later confirmed she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was battling eating disorders.
