'Mad Men' wins big at Critics' Choice show

LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- "Mad Men" was the big winner at the Critics' Choice Television Awards ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

In addition to earning the prize for Best Drama Series Monday, the 1960s-set advertising show also garnered the Best Actor in a Drama award for Jon Hamm. His co-star Christina Hendricks shared the Best Supporting Actress in a Drama honor with Margo Martindale of "Justified."

Julianna Margulies was honored as Best Actress in a Drama for her role in "The Good Wife" and John Noble picked up the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for "Fringe."

"Modern Family" won in the Best Comedy Series category, while Jim Parsons won the trophy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for "The Big Bang Theory" and Tina Fey was acknowledged for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in "30 Rock."

Neil Patrick Harris of "How I Met Your Mother" was named Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy, while Busy Philipps of "Cougar Town" took home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy.

The Best Reality Series prize was a tie between "Hoarders" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

The Best Reality Show -- Competition went to "American Idol" and "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" was declared Best Talk Show.

The winners were announced at a luncheon given by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.

ReelzChannel is to broadcast the Critics' Choice Television Awards show Wednesday.
