Each of the new 10 episodes poses a question that spans space, science and the unknown, Science said in press materials for the show. Season 2 starts off with the question, "Is There Life after Death?" Other topics to be explored are "Is There an Edge to the Universe?," "Can We Live Forever?" and "What Do Aliens Look Like?"

"My love affair with science and the unknown began for me in my high school physics class," Freeman said in a statement. "My mind sprung open -- all because of the questions I asked. In this new season of 'Through the Wormhole,' we will explore 10 new mystifying questions that will change the way you look at the world around you."

"'Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman' is a defining franchise for Science," added Debbie Adler Myers, Science's general manager and executive vice president. "This series connects the world of deep science with the beauty and wonder of the human mind -- and there is no better guide for this journey than Morgan Freeman. He and his [producing] team at Revelations Entertainment are the perfect partners for this project."
