Schneider and bride honeymoon on Taiwan

LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- Newlyweds Rob Schneider and Patricia Azarcoya Arce spent their honeymoon in Taiwan, the celebrity couple's representatives said.

The U.S. comic actor and Mexican TV producer spent a week on the island after their April 23 wedding.

"Taiwan is a beautiful place where I have been many times promoting my movies," Schneider said in a statement Saturday. "When I was at the LA Dodgers' Taiwan Day, it reminded me of the island's friendly people and great foods."

Schneider and Arce dined at the famous Din Tai Fong restaurant in Taipei and shopped at Taipei's Shilin Night Market. They also visited Ten Ren Tea Culture Museum, Taipei 101 -- the world's second tallest building, the National Palace Museum and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

The couple was expected to leave Sunday, their publicists said.
