Busey booted off of 'Apprentice'

NEW YORK, April 18 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Gary Busey became the latest star fired from the business-themed reality show "The Celebrity Apprentice" in New York.

Busey's elimination came after weeks of confrontations with fellow contestant, rocker Meat Loaf.

"He's either a genius or a moron, and I can't figure it out," "Apprentice" judge and producer Donald Trump said about Busey after he announced the challenge in Sunday night's episode would be to create a live cooking demonstration for Omaha Steaks.

E! News reported the eccentric actor was fired after his team failed to accomplish its task adequately.

"Meat Loaf, I'm gonna make you very happy," Trump said. "Gary, you're very talented. You're very unique, and you're an amazing guy … Gary, you're fired. Go. Thank you."
