Sheen reaches out to nemesis ex-boss

NEW YORK, April 9 (UPI) -- Charlie Sheen called on former boss Chuck Lorre to join him on his U.S. road show in order to end the feud that led to the cancellation of "Two and a Half Men."

Appearing at New York's Radio City Music Hall, Sheen told the audience he wanted to meet with Lorre on stage Sunday to "fix 'Two and a Half Men.'"

"Of course, I want my job back, so you guys can keep watching the best sitcom in the world!" Sheen said during Friday night's performance.

The invitation was one of the takeaways from Sheen's New York show, which The Hollywood Reporter said was significantly changed from the now-notorious debut in Detroit.

The Reporter said Saturday Sheen dropped a number of the show's original aspects, including a band, a warmup comedian and a large number of the video clips he had been playing over the course of the hourlong set.

Friday's show began about 30 minutes late, but the packed house seemed to love Sheen's gossipy Hollywood tales and his frequent references to substance abuse, The Reporter noted.
