LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network Lifetime says it has picked up new dramas starring Ally Walker, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Miguel Ferrer, Treat Williams and Kathy Baker.

The announcement was made Monday by Lifetime Networks' President and General Manager Nancy Dubuc.

In "Against the Wall," Chicago police detective Abby Kowalski (played by Rachael Carpani) causes a rift within her close-knit, blue-collar family of police officers by joining the department's Internal Affairs division, a synopsis of the show said. Williams and Baker star as Abby's parents. Rounding out the cast in the pilot are Brandon Quinn, Marisa Ramirez, Chris J. Johnson, James Thomas, Steve Byers, Mayko Nguyen and Daniel Kash.

"Exit 19" is about divorced mother Gloria Sheppard (played by Ally Walker), who juggles her demanding personal and professional life as an intuitive LAPD homicide detective while raising two boys. The drama co-stars Tisha Campbell-Martin as Gloria's partner, Michelle, and Miguel Ferrer as their boss, Lt. Valdez.

Both series have received 13-episode orders.

"Over the last several months, we have been working tirelessly on a new development slate of scripted dramas, nonfiction series and original movies at Lifetime," Dubuc said in a statement. "Continuing our legacy of great scripted dramas is critical to our success. The relationships and environments so brilliantly created in both of these dramas are unique to today's landscape and promise to deliver the high quality auspices and great emotional storytelling you can expect from Lifetime in the future."
