Bravo orders 2nd season of 'Desserts'

NEW YORK, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Bravo says it has ordered a second season of its U.S. culinary competition series, "Top Chef Just Desserts."

The show is a spinoff of the Emmy- and James Beard Award-winning "Top Chef," and features pastry chefs competing against one another in a series of challenges.

Open calls for pastry chefs, as well as for contestants for "Top Chef" Season 9, will be held in cities across the country starting Feb. 27 in Houston, Bravo said Thursday.
