NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- TLC is making a television movie based on the real events surrounding the murder of Washington intern Chandra Levy, the New York Post said Monday.

The film is to air on the cable network in May and will coincide with the 10th anniversary of Levy's death.

The investigation into the 24-year-old's disappearance made headlines when it was revealed she had been having an affair with married Rep. Gary Condit, D-Calif., her employer.

The Post said few details are known about the TV movie such as who will play Levy and Condit or whether Levy's parents are cooperating with the making of the film.

A jury last November found Ingmar Guandique, a 29-year-old, undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, guilty of first-degree murder in Levy's death.

Levy disappeared May 1, 2001, after she went for a walk in Rock Creek Park. Her remains were found in 2002 by a man walking his dog. Though the exact cause of her death was not determined, prosecutors said they believed Guandique tied her up and left her to die of exposure and dehydration.

At the time of his arrest in 2009, Guandique already had been convicted of assaulting two other women in the park.
