JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- The ex-matron at Oprah Winfrey's Leadership Academy near Johannesburg, South Africa, was found not guilty Monday of abusing girls at the school, officials said.

About 150 South African girls from poor families attend the boarding school, which cost $40 million to build and opened in 2007.
