Police close Coleman death case

PRO, Utah, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Utah's Santaquin Police Department says it has closed its investigation into actor Gary Coleman's May death following a fall at his home.

Public safety clerk Ann Adams told TVGuide.com investigators had found no evidence to contradict an autopsy report that listed the former child star's death as an accident.

Coleman, star of the 1970s sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," died of a brain hemorrhage at the age of 42. The actor, whose congenital kidney disease had halted his growth at 4 feet 8 inches, underwent 4 hours of dialysis treatment hours before he fell and hit his head at his home.

Adams told TVGuide.com foul play was never suspected in Coleman's death.
