Badalucco joins 'Restless' cast

NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Actor Michael Badalucco has signed on to play a recurring role on the U.S. soap opera "The Young and the Restless," CBS said Monday.

The former star of "The Practice" will be seen on the show starting Oct. 13.

He will play Hogan, a charismatic tough-guy bookie who will be involved with Jeff (played by Ted Shackelford) and Kevin (played by Greg Rikaart) in finding new avenues of revenue for Jeff and Gloria's (played by Judith Chapman) nightclub/restaurant, Gloworm, the network said in a news release.

Badalucco won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1999 for his portrayal of lawyer Jimmy Berluti in David E. Kelley's "The Practice," a show he appeared in from 1997-2004.

His film credits include "Sleepless in Seattle," "Broadway Danny Rose" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
