NEW YORK, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. daytime chat show "The View" is gearing up to celebrate its 3,000th episode this month, ABC said Monday.

"I can't believe we're about to celebrate 3,000 shows and we've had not one moment of drama," Executive Producer Barbara Walters said in a statement Monday. "I see no sign of us slowing down, especially because there's so much to talk about, and, boy, do we love to talk."

"It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating our 2,999th show," added Bill Geddie, executive producer.

Award-winning writer, producer, actress and comedienne Tina Fey is to be the featured guest on the Sept. 23 milestone episode of the show.

Fey helped popularize "The View" through a series of parodies she created during her tenure as head writer of "Saturday Night Live." Her original sketches featured Cheri Oteri as Walters, Tracy Morgan as Star Jones, Molly Shannon as Meredith Vieira, Ana Gasteyer as Joy Behar and various celebrities portraying Debbie Matenopoulos.

"Nothing is off limits during this one-hour celebration reflecting upon the show's inception, and featuring a spectacular on-air video retrospective set to include memorable moments, unforgettable guests, show 'firsts,' all the past and present co-hosts, 'surprise guests,' a moving 'In Memoriam' tribute and one big ticket audience giveaway," ABC said in a news release.
