LOS ANGELES, June 17 (UPI) -- Victor Perillo, Gary Coleman's former agent, announced Thursday he is organizing a farewell tribute to the late U.S. actor.

Officials ruled the cause of Coleman's death last month as a fall, with chronic renal failure as a contributing factor.

The one-time "Diff'rent Strokes" star, whose congenital kidney disease had halted his growth at 4-feet-8-inches, underwent 4 hours of dialysis treatment hours before he hit his head, which led to a brain hemorrhage. Funeral plans have been put on hold while several people fight over Coleman's estate.

"My intentions are to create a dignified event fitting to Gary's legacy, and to recognize him for his charitable contributions," Perillo said in a statement. "Gary was an international star loved by the world, heralded as one of the finest child actors of our time. He should be honored by industry professionals, producers, executives, government officials, etc."

Perillo said he hopes to announce a date and location in the next few days. He said he would like to hold the event in the next few weeks.
