NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- Former "Bionic Woman" star Lindsay Wagner has agreed to appear on the second season of the U.S. television series "Warehouse 13," Syfy said.

Wagner is to portray Dr. Vanessa Calder, the in-house Warehouse 13 doctor responsible for treating the investigative team as well as the super-secret governing body known as The Regents, the network said in a news release Monday.

Tia Carrere of "Wayne's World" and "Relic Hunter" fame is also to appear next season as Agent Katie Logan, who reignites a relationship with former flame Pete Lattimer when the two reunite on a new case.

Syfy said Carrere will replace the recently announced Gina Torres in the role.

Eddie McClintock plays Pete, Joanne Kelly plays Myka and Saul Rubinek plays Artie on the series about Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government, the network said in a synopsis of the show.
