Martin Short joins Fox comedy pilot

LOS ANGELES, March 27 (UPI) -- Canadian actor Martin Short has reportedly joined the cast of the Fox comedy pilot "Tax Man."

The Hollywood Reporter said Friday that Short, 60, will play a loud, obnoxious boss at an Internal Revenue Service office in Fresno, Calif., in the forthcoming pilot.

The pilot also stars actor David Krumholtz, who plays Charlie Epps in the CBS series "Numb3rs."

Meanwhile, Short's TV credits include a recent turn on the FX drama "Damages," as well as his past appearances on series such as "Saturday Night Live," "Second City Television" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
