NBC postpones 'Prime Suspect' remake

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- NBC has been unable to find a female lead for its U.S. remake of the British drama series "Prime Suspect," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Since it doesn't have a star, the network has postponed production on the pilot for the show until June, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren played the lead character, a brilliant detective, in the original BBC police procedural.
