LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Comedian and television personality Howie Mandel is to replace outgoing judge David Hasselhoff on the competition series "America's Got Talent," NBC said.
Hasselhoff recently announced he was leaving the show to work on another, as-yet-undisclosed project.
"Access Hollywood" said NBC Universal Television Entertainment Chairman Jeff Gaspin confirmed at a Television Critics Association panel Sunday Mandel would be judging the contestants on "Talent" next summer, along with Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.
"David is leaving… and yes, I believe, Howie Mandel is replacing (him,)" Gaspin said.
