LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Twenty former castaways are to return to compete on "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains," the U.S. television network CBS announced.
The competitors are Rupert Boneham, Tyson Apostol, James Clement, Randy Bailey, Colby Donaldson, Danielle DiLorenzo, Cirie Fields, Russell Hantz, Amanda Kimmel, Jerri Manthey, Jessica "Sugar" Kiper, Robert Mariano, Stephenie LaGrossa, Parvati Shallow, James "JT" Thomas Jr., Sandra Diaz-Twine, Tom Westman, Benjamin "Coach" Wade, Candice Woodcock and Courtney Yates, the network said.
Season 20 of the popular competition series is to begin with a special 2-hour episode Feb. 11."Survivor" regular Jeff Probst will again serve as host.
"'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' will reunite some of the most memorable, heroic and controversial castaways from previous 'Survivor' seasons," CBS said in a release Wednesday. "The series' best strategists will face off in their attempt to overcome -- or embrace -- the label placed upon them when they return to seek revenge or redemption, all in an effort to win the title of Sole Survivor. These unforgettable castaways will compete deep in the South Pacific on the breathtaking island of Samoa and will be divided into two tribes of 10 comprised of the best heroes and biggest villains ever to play the game."
