Jesse Ventura walks out of radio interview

NEW YORK, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Former wrestler and Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura walked out of an in-studio radio interview after arguing with a comedian about government conspiracies.

The Huffington Post said the verbal exchange between Ventura and Jim Norton happened Wednesday when Ventura appeared on the Sirius AM Radio show "Opie & Anthony" to promote his new truTV series "Conspiracy Theory."

The topic that caused the on-air tension was the use of the U.S. military and the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

"We have not been told the truth," the New York Daily News quoted Ventura as saying.

When Norton, an "Opie & Anthony" regular, tried to express his contradicting opinion, Ventura asked him to calm down.

"If you're not going to let me talk, I'm out the door," Ventura said, prompting Norton to retort, "You've been talking the whole time, all you do is yell over people."

The heated discussion continued until Ventura said he was leaving and Norton accused him of sulking.

"There's a (expletive) guy here telling me I've got a schedule (expletive,)" the News reported Ventura said.

Ventura then slapped Norton's shoulder as he stood to leave.

"Thanks for touching me with your (expletive) stupid Riff Raff from (expletive) 'Rocky Horror' hairdo," Norton said. "You're bigger and stronger than me, so what. I don't give a (expletive.) You want to beat me up, go ahead."

"Thank you for your service," Ventura said, saluting Norton as he departed.
