LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Marc Guggenheim, the co-showrunner and executive producer for "FlashForward," is leaving the new TV drama, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

The show's co-creator and executive producer, David Goyer, whose experience is mainly in film, reportedly will serve as the sole showrunner of the series.

The entertainment industry trade newspaper said Guggenheim was brought on to help get the ensemble series started, but will depart soon, leaving Goyer to finish the last nine episodes of the 21-installment season alone.

"FlashForward" stars Joseph Fiennes, Sonya Walger, Brian F. O'Byrne, Courtney B. Vance and John Cho. It is about what happens after the entire world catches a glimpse of the future.
