Jonathan Jackson returning to 'GH'

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Jonathan Jackson has signed on to reprise his role of Lucky Spencer on the daytime drama "General Hospital," ABC announced Tuesday.

Jackson previously played the son of Luke and Laura Spencer from 1993 to 1999. He has since appeared in numerous films and recently had a recurring role on TV's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." He is set to return to "GH" Oct. 27.

Anthony Geary and Genie Francis have played the iconic roles of Luke and Laura on and off for decades.

"We are very excited to welcome Jonathan back to Port Charles," executive producer Jill Farren Phelps said in a statement. "His return will be sure to captivate the audience and be pivotal to this ongoing love story between some of the show's most popular characters."

In the storyline, Lucky wants his former wife, Elizabeth, to remarry him, but unbeknownst to him, Elizabeth has strong feelings for Lucky's brother, Nikolas.
