Workers install New Year's Eve decorations, have confetti test in NYC(12 images)

Workers install 192 new Waterford Crystals on the New Year's Eve Ball, the 2023 numerals and hold a confetti test as Times Square prepares for New Year's Eve in New York City on Thursday. This year, the crystal triangles on the ball feature a "Gift of Love" theme.

Confetti is tossed in the air as part of the annual New Year's Eve Confetti Test in Times Square in New York City on December 29, 2022. An estimated one million people will be in Times Square on New Year's Eve and over one billion will be watching throughout the world as the traditional Waterford Crystal ball will drop, bringing in 2023.
