Fred Willard, Chris Tucker and Quincy Jones were among the stars to attend the 50th anniversary screening of "In the Heat of the Night" during the opening night of the TCM Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles on April 6, 2017. The 1967 film, which starred Sidney Poitier, Rod Steiger and Lee Grant, tells the story of an African-American police detective tasked with investigating a murder in a racially hostile Southern town.
